Due to continued growth in the United States market, Grandes Vinos will sponsor for the first time the CultureMap Tastemaker Awards, an annual celebration of talent in restaurant and bar communities in Austin, Dallas, and Houston, honoring their innovation, creativity and energy. Despite the fact that this year the award events will be virtual, Monasterio de las Viñas will be present both publicly and physically, as bottles will be sent to all the winners and attendees of the galas, reinforcing the presence of the brand in such an important market.
Grandes Vinos, a leading Spanish winery based in the historic region of D.O.P. Cariñena, is taking a strong stand with Texas Tastemakers as the official presenter of the 2020 CultureMap Tastemakers Wine Program of the Year Award in Austin (7/23), Dallas (7/30) and Houston (8/6). The annual Texas Tastemaker Awards honor bar and restaurant leaders each year and will be presented virtually in participating cities.
“We are proud to support the significant achievements of the Texas bar and restaurant trade as an official sponsor of the 2020 Tastemaker Awards,” said Antonio Gonzalez, Export Director. “In these challenging times the Texas hospitality community has inspired us more than ever with their resilience and courage. We salute all the honorees and winners in their quest for excellence in creativity, innovation and service.”
The CultureMap Tastemaker Awards are an annual celebration of talent in Austin, Dallas and Houston’s restaurant and bar communities, as selected by their peers. The mission is to shine a spotlight on the people making the local restaurant scene special and honor their innovation, energy and creativity. This year the gala events will be virtual for the first time, with live streaming on each city’s CultureMap website. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Austin Food & Wine Alliance, North Texas Food Bank and Second Servings of Houston. For more information, including a complete list of nominees and ticket information, visit the individual event pages: Austin, Dallas, and Houston.
To bring the Tastemakers experience home, ticketed guests will receive prepared hors d’oeuvres from featured nominees, complimentary premium beverages, swag and more surprises. In addition, to toast the Wine Award winners, Grandes Vinos is donating bottles of their highly awarded Monasterio Old Vine Garnacha for VIP ticketholders and Monasterio Reserva for General Admission participants.
